Drama!
This is the good kind of "drama" in our house. Avery played the part of Horace in the Providence Christian School production of "The Taming of LaRue." (perhaps loosely based upon the Shakespeare play, "The Taming of the Shrew"). She looked quite dashing in her black mustache. What fun!

Picnic!
Today was an incredibly beautiful day (one of those once-a-year beautiful days). After church, Avery and Connor wanted to have a picnic outside, so we set up a blanket and ate our sandwiches and milk in the front yard. What a glorious way to enjoy lunch. Connor was sporting a new green band-aid after some rough play at Sunday School.

Soccer Game, April 24, 2010
Avery had her final soccer game of the spring this morning. Even though it rained hard last night, they still played the game (all of the girls were muddy by the end of the game). Avery played great, and her team almost won, 3 - 4. We are so proud of her.

Texas Day
Every year, the third grade class at Providence celebrates Texas Day in the spring. Avery and her class celebrated Texas Day today at the Farmers Branch Historical Park. Avery had much fun with her class learning about Texas history and heritage.

Airshow
Connor and I went to an airshow at Love Field this afternoon. We had so much fun looking at the airplanes (Connor thought they were loud)!
These pictures reminded me about Avery's and my trip to see the planes back in April of 2006 (age 5 1/2):

Make-Up Soccer Game, April 8, 2010
Tonight, Avery had a make-up soccer game against the team from Hyer Elementary. Guess what? They tied, 1 - 1. The Providence/Armstrong team played great defense. We are all so proud of Avery!
Connor had fun, too!
