Merry Christmas 2012

Merry Christmas to all! We celebrated Christ's birth last night at Christmas Eve worship, Avery leading Christmas games, leaving cookies and reindeer food for Santa, and getting up early this morning to open presents. Then, surprise, it started to snow and we enjoyed a White Christmas!

Avery's Birthday Party 2012

Tonight, Avery celebrated her 12th birthday with many of her school friends with a "Cupcake Wars" themed birthday party. For those of you who are not fans of the Food Network television show, the show features teams of chefs in a competition that decides who makes the most unique and tasty cupcakes. The theme for our competition was "The Nutcracker." Our panel of celebrity judges consisted of Ann Buller, Meg Feretti and Kyle Moldrem. Such a fun way to celebrate Avery's birthday!

Avery's Soccer Game

Tonight, Avery played most of the game in the Providence vs. ESD soccer game. We thought she did so well! We are so proud of her.

November Pictures

This weekend, we attended the Texas A&M versus Missouri football game at Kyle Field (Aggies won! Whoop!). We also took a picture of Avery and Connor to use in our family Christmas card. 

Dad bought a new camera

Dad bought a new camera today. Here is the first photo of Connor with Dad's new camera. Isn't he handsome?

Connor is 6!

Today is Connor's 6th birthday. His birthday present was given a new big boy bike. He is so excited!

Connor's Soccer Game

Today, Connor had his third game of the fall 2012 Park Cities YMCA soccer season. The Providence team won and Connor even scored a goal. He was so happy and celebrated by running around the field. 

Texas A&M vs. SMU game

Connor and his cousin Brandon attended the Texas A&M vs. SMU game in Dallas. A&M won 48 - 3 (Connor says, "We creamed them!") We all had so much fun!

Texas A&M vs. Florida Game

Our family attended the Texas A&M vs. Florida football game today. Connor's face was full of excitement as he watched the football team enter the stadium in a cloud of smoke following a drum cadence and Kanye West rap. The Aggies lost, but we all had so much fun cheering for our team.

Connor's First Day of E-III at Providence!

Today was Connor's first day of E-III (otherwise known as Kindergarten) at Providence. His teacher will be Mrs. Dowster. It's going to be a great year!

First Day of 6th Grade

Today was Avery's first day of 6th grade at Providence. Her teacher this year will be Mr. Green. She was so excited about starting the new school year!

Connor's T-Ball Game

Connor had his last T-ball game of the year tonight. He hit well and played first base. He had a great time!

Avery at Camp Greystone

Avery is in her second week at Camp Greystone. She has sent us letters telling us that she is having fun at camp. Also, see pictures below of Avery with some of her friends at camp. We are pretty sure she is having a good time!

Today, Shannon took Avery to Camp Greystone in Zirconia, North Carolina. This is Avery's 3rd year at Camp Greystone and her second year at June Camp. We thought she looked so grown up as Shannon dropped her off at camp this morning. Send her a letter at:

Avery at the Park Cities Track Meet

Today was the annual Park Cities YMCA track meet. Avery placed 4th in the high jump at 3 feet 6 inches. Wow! We are so proud of her!
